Information for PricePanorama users regarding cookie files

This information is based on the provisions of Article 173 of the Act of 16 July 2004 - Telecommunications law (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2014, item 243 as amended).

Our website under the name: PricePanorama, hereinafter referred to as the Website, available under pricepanorama.com, uses cookies.

What are cookie files?

Cookie files (the so-called cookies) are data files, most often text-based files, which are stored on the end-device of the User of our Website. A good example of an end device is a computer (e.g. a desktop, laptop, or tablet) or some other mobile device (like a smartphone).

Cookie files include in particular the information regarding which pages/subpages of our Website has the User visited, how long have they been stored on the end device, and a unique number. This information allows our Website and us as it’s administrators to store information regarding the User’s preferences and adapt the Website accordingly.

Our Website does not automatically collect or store any data which would allow us to identify the User, aside from the data included in cookie files.

How to manage cookie files?

Users can manage cookie files by changing the relevant settings of their web browser. In particular, the User may remove the previously stored cookie files which were placed on their device by our Website on their end device (see “What are cookie files?”), using particular settings of their web browser.

We hereby inform you that most internet browsers by default allow saving and storing cookie files, including those from our Website, on the User’s end device. Those Users who do not agree with this may change the settings of their web browser at any time so that it does not allow for automated cookie processing.

For details regarding how you can change the settings of your browser please visit the websites of your browser’s manufacturer.

Every User should consider that switching off or limiting the possibility to process cookie files by their browser may result in limited access to particular features of our Website. In case of any questions or problems in this scope please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our contact details can be found in the Terms and Conditions of our Service.

For what purpose do we use cookie files?

As we have signaled before, within our Website we process cookie files in order to adapt its contents to our Users’ preferences.

Cookie files also allow us to gather visit statistics (which naturally are anonymous!), which we can use to learn how our Users take advantage of our Website, and this, in turn, allows us to determine how we should improve it.

What types of cookie files do we use?

We use two types of cookies:

1) "session" cookies, which are stored on the User's end device until they leave our Website or close their Internet browser;

2) 2) "persistent" cookies, which are stored in the User's end device for a period of time specified in the parameters of those "persistent" cookies or until their removal by the User;

Cookie files used by our Website may also be used by advertisers cooperating with us and entities that gather anonymous visit statistics on our behalf.
